Project with Marieskolen for 10 year anniversary
On the occasion of Marieskolen's 10th anniversary, Art Jam has entered into a collaboration with the school to create two works of art that mark this milestone.
Art Jam has invited the international artists, Saila from Finland and Jan from the Czech Republic, to create an anniversary project for Marieskolen.
The project consists of a creative workshop where the students, in close collaboration with the artists, create an art installation to mark the school's anniversary.
The workshop gives the students a unique opportunity to actively participate in an artistic creation process and at the same time strengthens the community across cultures. The children are the direct creators of this part of the anniversary celebration, which culminates in an art installation where all of the school's more than 200 children have put each their own personal touch on the finished artwork.
In addition to the workshop with the school students, the artist Jan will create a specially designed tile that will permanently be part of the school's outdoor environment as a lasting symbol of the 10th anniversary.
