The artworks have an engaging and quiet spatial presence. With their slender habitus, posture and introspective expression, they appear like Gothic figures, messengers of another time. The figures are sculpturally elaborate: the filigree and finely detailed surface of the abstract figures shows plants, flowers and ornaments that span the entire surface like a garment. Finely formed faces appear atmospheric and quiet, the hands are open towards the world.
